Notice of Nominations

Elections for new Union officers and representatives will be conducted during the month of May, 2025.

To nominate someone for Union office, fill out the Nomination Form on our website: https://fiseheadquarters.org/  Return the form to FISE by email or fax no later than 3:00pm MT on April 2, 2025.

Forms received after that will be destroyed.  Each Nomination Form must be signed by two dues paying members according to the FISE Constitution. You may only nominate one person per form.  If you wish to nominate more, please make copies.

Notice of Elections

Voting will be conducted by secret ballot in accordance with the FISE Constitution.  Ballots will be mailed on May 2, 2025 to all active members in good standing at their last known home address.  Members who have not received a ballot or who have lost or spoiled their ballot, should contact FISE Office Manager, Jackie Spencer by email  jspencer@fise-aft.org  or call 505-243-4088.

Ballots must be received at the post office by 8:30a.m. MT, on May 30, 2025in order to be counted.  Any candidate or candidate’s observer who wishes to be present at the preparation and mailing of the ballots should contact the FISE office as soon as possible.           

Eligibility

  • To nominate candidates or vote in FISE elections you must be a member in good standing.
  • To run for an Executive Office, candidates must be a member in good standing for at least six months and have been a Regional Representative for one year.
  • To run for Regional Representative, candidates must be a member in good standing for at least six months and a FISE Steward for one year.
    • Regional Representatives may only be nominated by someone within their region.

A member in good standing is one who is currently paying Union dues and has not been removed from a union position within the past 10 years.  A complete list of members and eligibility is available at the FISE office in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Any questions regarding eligibility or to ensure your home address is accurate please contact Jackie Spencer, FISE Office Manager:   jspencer@fise-aft.org

All offices are open for election.  The term of the office will start July 1, 2025 and run for three years.
